The Largest 5 IRC Networks

At over 10,000 users each, these nets account for a majority of IRC users (about 3/4). Tend to be plagued by lag, splits, spam and general stupidity, but for most people, nets like these are 'the place to be' for finding people, illegal files, etc.

These nets allow local server connections, especially useful in areas with bad network connectivity, offer an environment where the local language is predominant in the case of non-English speaking countries and, of course, will be a place for discussing topics of local interest.

There are more other IRC Networks I've made in various categories. Look over the list of IRC networks, organized into the following groups :

-  The Largest 5 Networks   -   Asian Networks   -   North American Networks   -   African Networks   -   European Networks   -   South American Networks   -   Australian Networks   -

If you are a fan of a network that you like and it is not listed, or you are a founder of an IRC Network and want it be listed, send an e-mail including the name, regional, services, and homepage in the message of your mail.
